TheOneRose is a virtual rose with a receiver, a dedication and an optional giver. The rose is displayed for one day on theonerose.com. On each day there is one single virtual rose.

The rose is displayed from 00:00 UTC to 24:00 UTC on the date purchased.

UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time. In this context it is the same as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). You can learn more about time zones here.

Based on information from your web browser, your current local time (including daylight saving time) seems to be:

Please check the List of time zones to be sure of your time zone (UTC offset) and any locally observed daylight saving time on the date your rose is displayed.

Example:

You live in New York City, USA and purchase the rose on the 15th of Mars 2012. Your time zone is UTC−05:00 (EST) and daylight saving time is observed so the clock has been turned forward one hour, which means that you are four hours behind UTC time. The rose will be displayed (in your local time) from the 14th of Mars 2012 20:00 (8:00 p.m.) to the 15th of Mars 2012 20:00 (8:00 p.m.).

The website does not currently offer the possibility to change the rose information after the rose has been purchased.

You may however send an e-mail to support@theonerose.com with a change request, and we will do our best to apply the changes manually. There is however no guarantee that we will have enough time and resources to accommodate the request.

The receiver email is optional to supply. If filled out, the receiver of the rose will get an email on the date purchased informing the receiver that he/she has received todays rose at TheOneRose.com.

The residence information is needed for tax (VAT) reasons. The tax differs depending on whether the customer resides in the European Union or not. Your residence does however not in any way effect the price of the rose.

The year of birth and gender information is stored securely and anonymously and is only used for internal statistics. This information is under no circumstances shared with any third party.

The Terms of use need to be long and boring for legal reasons. It is important that you know the legal terms of your purchase, but if you are only skimming, please make sure that you at least read the section Conduct on Site carefully.
